About our online store
The Daily Adventure Coffee Co is a micro-roastery located in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Hisega, just 8 miles west of Rapid City, is a small town founded in 1908 by six women who were camping and traveling in our area from our state capital, Pierre. That, you could say – was the birth of Adventure here in Hisega. We roast our coffee here, right next to Rapid Creek.
We believe that the best coffee, is fresh coffee. So, we roast several times every week to ensure all the coffee that leaves is right out of the roaster.
We do not over-roast our coffee. If you want burnt coffee – you might have to go to that large un-named coffee chain. We actually believe in the TASTE of coffee. When we get a coffee variety or fresh harvest in, we roast it to all levels to find it’s optimum roast and taste level.
We believe in GREAT customer service. This is why we deliver to your door or through the mail. Locally delivered coffee is typically to our customer in less than 24 hours. All mailed coffee is roasted and out the door in Priority Mail packaging.
We also try very hard to offer as many roasts and grind levels as are practical – so that you get your coffee exactly the way you want it.
We pay attention. What does that mean? It means – we don’t put our roaster on autopilot and walk away. When I learned how to roast coffee in Guatemala, I learned on a manual roaster – no fancy digital controls, only sight and smell to guide me. Even though our roaster is “fancy” I pay attention to each minute of the roast.
I am also a fiend for information, new beans, traditional favorites, innovation, market trends, threats to the coffee industry. If it’s happening in coffee, I make it a point to know!

I should be incapable of drawing a single stroke at the present moment; and yet I feel that I never was a greater artist than now.
